Matt began his career as a partially qualified accountant at Deloitte, accounting and consulting. Soon after, he (arguably) came to his senses and traded spreadsheets for focus groups.
Matt has since gone on to work at some of the leading agencies in the region, including Clemenger BBDO Melbourne and HOST Sydney, where he developed a pragmatic, output-focused approach to strategy - applying the fundamental principles of traditional brand strategy, to modern day business problems.
Over his career, Matt has contributed to all manner of industry accolades, from several agency-of-year accolades at two different agencies, as well as global and local recognition for creativity and effectiveness.
Now as Head of Strategy at TBWA Auckland, Matt brings his experience in major brand positioning development, market research, communications planning, innovation and product development, digitally-led projects, CRM, and design, as well as social and behaviour change projects.
